FAQ's

LOTUS is a social recreation and enrichment program designed for children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Through engaging activities in art, STEM, fitness, cooking, and more, children have opportunities to strengthen their social skills, build independence, develop confidence, and form meaningful connections with others. Our goal is to provide a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to grow.

LOTUS is designed for children in kindergarten through 5th grade who would benefit from a supportive, inclusive environment focused on social development, independence, confidence, and meaningful peer connections. Each family will participate in an intake process to help determine whether the program is the right fit for their child’s individual needs.

LOTUS may be funded through the Self-Determination Program or by your child’s Regional Center. Families should contact their Service Coordinator or Financial Management Service provider to confirm funding eligibility and authorization.

LOTUS offers three enrollment options based on the child’s grade level and weekly attendance schedule:

Kindergarten
Monday-Friday: $3500

Tuesday & Thursday: $ 3000

Monday, Wednesday, & Friday: $3200

Grades 1-5

Monday-Friday: $3000

Tuesday (1:30) & Thursday: $2800

Monday, Wednesday, & Friday: $2800

The LOTUS Enrichment Program will run from August 31, 2026, through May 28th, 2027.

To begin the registration process, please contact LOTUS Manager Maria Castillo by email at newgrowth.manager@gmail.com. Maria will guide your family through the intake process and provide additional enrollment and payment information.

LOTUS will provide each child with a daily snack. Families are encouraged to send additional snacks based on their child’s individual needs and preferences.

The LOTUS Enrichment Program operates Monday through Friday. Program hours are:

• Kindergarten: 1:00–5:30 p.m.

• Grades 1–5: 2:30–5:30 p.m.

Drop-off can be flexible, as we know you’ll be traveling to our location. Please email Maria at newgrowth.manager@gmail.com if you will arrive after 1:30 pm for Kindergarten or after 3:30 pm if your child is in 1st- 5th grade. 

Pick-up is at 5:30 pm. 

The program does not offer after care. Pick up is daily at 5:30, in case of emergencies including a late pick up please contact Maria Castillo at newgrowth.manager@gmail.com.

LOTUS will be closed in observance of all national holidays, as well as during Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks. Families will be notified in advance of any additional program closures.

Please keep your child home if they are sick or experiencing any symptoms of illness. Children may return to the program after they have been symptom-free for at least 48 hours.
